Don't be overwhelmed, just do the best you can with the resources you have at your disposal. Be a hummingbird….
One day…., in a forest, …a great fire broke out, and all the animals were terrified and fled. As they watched the forest burning, feeling helpless, a tiny hummingbird decided to do something. It flew to the nearest stream, picked up a single drop of water in its beak, and flew back to the forest. The hummingbird would repeat this process tirelessly, carrying one tiny drop of water at a time, and dropping it onto the fire.

The other animals mocked the hummingbird, asking, "What do you think you're doing? Your efforts are so small; you can't possibly make a difference." The hummingbird, undeterred, replied, "I am doing what I can."

…. This story is often associated with the environmentalist and peace activist Wangari Maathai, who shared a version to convey the message of taking action and doing one's part, no matter how small, to try address climate change and reduce our carbon footprint.
